RC Car and Truck Races

RC Performance and Hobbies offers races on Wednesday and Sunday (Sunday racing, winter season only). Races are open to all, from beginners to advanced and spectators are welcome. If you are interested in getting into RC racing feel free to talk to our staff and find out how to get started.

Race Day

Racing is broken into divisions. First by vehicle type, either car (buggy) or truck. Second by level: Sportsman (beginner class), Stock (stock motors only), Modified (modified motors either 2wd or 4wd).

The racing day consists of 3 heats and a main for each division. The heat races are set up to clock a racer to see where they will qualify for the mains. The number of main events is determined by how many people are racing in the division.

The races are run on an eight week point series with two throw out races (if you miss a week you won't be hurt in the point series). The point series is posted online and on the cork boards at RC Performance and Hobbies. Results are posted on the boards following each race. At the end of each point series winners are given their choice of trophy, gift certificate or prize.
