RC Performance & Hobbies in Madison has been received with great enthusiasm by those who believe in the motto, 'get a life…get a hobby!'

Customers who visit look up to see the remote control airplanes and helicopters hanging from the ceiling while the shelves are stocked with remote control boats, submarines, cars, monster trucks and motorcycles. 

There's over 4000 square feet of retail store display, with a nearly 5000 square foot indoor race track directly behind the display area.  See Car Racing & FAQ. 

For those cautious of the controls, a demo simulator is available to 'learn before you buy.'  Using the simulator, novices can practice remote control planes and helicopters with the actual control in hand while sitting at a computer.   

A full supply of parts compliment the store's inventory. Hundreds of parts are available, including high performance engines and servos. 

The family-run business was opened in December of 2002 at 4702 E. Broadway, near The Radio Doctor, next to Aberle Chiropractic Clinic, and near the Park and Ride.  Helen Koppes, her son Jim Aberle and his wife Janet, and Helen's nephew Blaine Tessmann opened the business together.  This small family team has grown to 10 full and part time employees.
